My experience learning english at the university

Hello everyone! Today I´m going to talk about "My english class":

Today every job needs people who are competent in English, because of globalization. Today people are more connected all over the world, and the universal language is English, so the only way to be communicated or to be updated is with this language.
In the health system is very important to know how to talk in English for many reasons, like some books and articles are in English, or the patients can be from other country so is important to understand them, or because we need to travel to work in another country.

Today many Universities prepare people to work in a globalize world, teaching them the language of the word that is English. Universities offer exchanging with other universities from other countries, and also give articles in English to their students, and all of this is because the information is running so fast, from different parts of the word.
The Medicine Faculty form the University of Chile has some courses of English where students can learn the language in four different levels, the first one is started, then come beginner, the following is pre intermediate, and the last is intermediate.

My english class this year is in other place, before the english class was in the campus north (independencia street) , and now is in Quinta Normal, for my classmates this is terrible, because is very far from home but for my this is PERFECT! because I live in this community.

With this competition, students can study form update books, articles or papers like those who are in English. Also, a lot of doors are opening for students who want to learn more things about those careers abroad, or to work in another country.

Well, this is my post, and I enjoyed the blog so much, because I could express my opinions about diferrent topic that i like (for example about music) and other topics very important for our carrer. In addition to sharing views with our partners and friends.Another advantage of the blog, is that it's a very dynamic way and close to us. It's more enjoyable to learn and improve our English.

I hope you like it... See you !

Why obstetrics? (blog 7)

Hello everyone! Today I´m going to talk about "Why obstetrics?"

In my case, at first really  I wanted to study nursing.. a career related with health.  Before postulate for to study (after PSU) i didn’t know what put in first option: nursing or obstetrics because i really like the related with babies, pregnancy.. and also help  old people with different problems … so i asked to my parents to give me advices .. but they said me that i should choose that i really liked.. so i put in first option nursery and then obstetrics.

When i saw that i stayed in Obstetrics i didn’t feel bad, i felt so satisfied. But now , after to really know what do midwifes, i feel so sure about my decision. I think that this career is for me because the focus of it is the pair: mother-son, the relation in my opinion, more important in the life of everyone, the obstetrics are dealing with the care of women and their children during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period,  the midwife monitors the progress of labor,  performing vaginal examination, accelerate the progress of labor by infusion of the hormone oxytocin, provide pain relief, the midwife accompanies physically and psychologically to the mother, imaging is another important way to monitor a pregnancy, this is done to predict problems with the mother; confirm that a pregnancy is present inside the uterus; estimate the gestational age; determine the number of fetuses and placentae; evaluate for an ectopic pregnancy and first trimester bleeding; and assess for early signs of anomalies; in the postnatal the infant's health is also monitored, so I feel so happy working with them, and obviously with all family (father, sons, grandfathers, etc).

Also in the past year we went to hospital and other health centers for practice, so i knew what will we do in the future, and i liked so much.

I ‘m so anxious for to be a real Midwife!!...Well, I awaiting you enjoy my blog! See you

My favorite musical group (blog 6)

Hello everyone! Today I´m going to talk about " my favorite band"

Coldplay are an english alternative rock band formed  by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, After forming Pectoralz, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to Starfish, Will Champion joined as a drummer, backing vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, completing the lineup.  The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998.

When I was about 15 years I listened a song on the radio and it very liked me! From this moment i started to listen coldplay always!!! I have all their CD's

Coldplay  achieved worldwide fame with the release of the single "Yellow", followed by their debut album released in the same year, Parachutes.  The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), won multiple awards, including NME's Album of the Year. Their next release," X&Y"

My favorite coldplay song: I'd have to say, "What If?". It's so calming and beautiful in every way. It's the perfect song to sing out at the top of your lungs while cleaning your room as well as to fall asleep to. X & Y is my favorite cd. Keep up the good work:

What if you should decide
That you don't want me there by your side
That you don't want me there in you life

Oooooooh that's right
Let's take a breath, jump over the side
Oooooooh that's right
How can you know it if you don't even try
Oooooooh that's right

Every step that you take
Could be your biggest mistake
It could bend or it could break
But that's the risk that you take

Well I became a fan of coldplay, i saw their concert on TV and always my dreams was go to a concert of coldplay.

Well... I awaiting you enjoy my blog! See you.
